We operate from our own dedicated offices and manufacturing facility situated on the historic Audley End Estate in Saffron Walden, Essex.

Internships: We offer useful hands-on experience across a number of disciplines ranging from web-design to furniture manufacturing to office administration. We do offer a basic expenses package, but there is no remuneration. As a small company, you will benefit from taking real responsibility within very small departments, often reporting directly to one of the directors.
 
 
Current jobs & career opportunitues at BLOK:
 
1] Full-time Business Development & Sales : We are looking to recruit a salesperson with experience in the home cinema & AV sectors. [General furniture experience also considered.] We are looking for an individual who is able to generate their own business leads and has the capacity to think of new opportunities and areas for the BLOK brand. The role will involve e-mail & telephone skills, so the ability to generate new business using these channels will be essential. You will be based at our offices in Audley End. Experience of e-mail, word processing & the internet essential. Remuneration will be in the form of a basic salary plus commission depending upon performance.
 
2] Full-time Cabinet Maker: We are looking to add another cabinet-maker to our expanding team. Making & fitting skills essential. Full details on application.
 
3] Internship - Website maintenance & designer. We operate a database driven website using the open-source Drupal platform. We are looking for an individual with experience in Drupal and CSS as a minimum. PHP & MySQL an advantage. You will assist in the maintenance & development of our BLOK Direct website. 
 
4] Internship - e-Marketing & communications assistant. You will assisit in the production of e-catalogues, e-mail newsletters, online PR,  & other "mar-comms" output. Generally, we are a digital company, and do not engage in physical marketing or display advertising. Familiarity with Mailchimp & Issuu an avantage.
 
5] Internship - Graphic design trainee. We are looking for an assistant graphic designer with experience in AutoCAD, 3DSMax, and/or Google Sketchup. You will be assisting our furniture designers in the production of line drawings and 3D models & sketches for bespoke & custom deesign furniture. 
 
6] Internship - Photography assistant. Photography is a key part of our business process, and we are looking for an individual with the ability to both take & edit photos. Photoshop and/or Lightroom experience required.
 
7] Internship - E-Commerce assistant. You will assist in the management of the company's e-commerce activities through our own websites, our eBay shop & the Amazon marketplace. Familiarity with eBay & amazon useful.
